Random walk model for coordinate-dependent diffusion in a force field

چکیده

In this paper we develop a random walk model on lattice for coordinate-dependent diffusion at constant temperature. We employ here waiting time of the walker to get coordinate dependence diffusion. Such modeling keeps local isotropy process intact which is consistent with nature thermal noise. The presence confining conservative force modeled by appropriately breaking jumps its nearest points. show that equilibrium characterized position distribution modified Boltzmann form as obtained an Itô process. also argue that, in such systems diffusivity, correctly captures transition over potential barrier opposed distribution. • Local Stokes–Einstein relation dependent Modified under Barrier overcoming

A Mathematical Model for Indian Ocean Circulation in Spherical Coordinate

In recent years, the Indian Ocean (IO) has been discovered to have a much larger impact on climate variability than previously thought. This paper reviews processes in which the IO is, or appears to be, actively involved. We begin the mathematical model with a pattern for summer monsoon winds. Three dimensional temperature and velocity fields are calculated analytically for the ocean forced by ...

A Random Walk with Exponential Travel Times

Consider the random walk among N places with N(N - 1)/2 transports. We attach an exponential random variable Xij to each transport between places Pi and Pj and take these random variables mutually independent. If transports are possible or impossible independently with probability p and 1-p, respectively, then we give a lower bound for the distribution function of the smallest path at point log...

A Bayesian Nominal Regression Model with Random Effects for Analysing Tehran Labor Force Survey Data

Large survey data are often accompanied by sampling weights that reflect the inequality probabilities for selecting samples in complex sampling. Sampling weights act as an expansion factor that, by scaling the subjects, turns the sample into a representative of the community. The quasi-maximum likelihood method is one of the approaches for considering sampling weights in the frequentist framewo...

Random walk in a two-dimensional self-affine random potential: Properties of the anomalous diffusion phase at small external force.

We study the dynamical response to an external force F for a particle performing a random walk in a two-dimensional quenched random potential of Hurst exponent H=1/2 . We present numerical results on the statistics of first-passage times that satisfy closed backward master equations. We find that there exists a zero-velocity phase in a finite region of the external force 0<F<F{c} , where the dy...

Coordinate-dependent diffusion in protein folding.

Diffusion on a low-dimensional free-energy surface is a remarkably successful model for the folding dynamics of small single-domain proteins. Complicating the interpretation of both simulations and experiments is the expectation that the effective diffusion coefficient D will in general depend on the position along the folding coordinate, and this dependence may vary for different coordinates. ...
